ELI’s submission to Fisheries NZ’s review of sustainability measures for orange roughy in fishery area ORH 3B.

ORH 3B is New Zealand’s - and the world’s - largest orange roughy fishery. However, just 8 - 18% of the original orange roughy biomass remains in the main area, the East and South Chatham Rise. In the past this area has been the source of 40% of global orange roughy catch. To read our recommendations for action, download our submission.
