ELI obtains personal information from you when you sign up to our newsletter, support our work, engage with our social media and digital communications (including surveys), or make a financial donation.Personal information that ELI collects about you may include your name, address, telephone number and email address and, if you are a donor, your payment details.We do not collect personal information from you unless you voluntarily give it or where the information is publicly available.By providing ELI with your personal information, you accept this privacy policy and authorise ELI to collect, store and process your information in the ways outlined in this policy.

ELI may use the personal information provided to us for the purposes for which it is provided and for purposes relevant to our work. These purposes may include:

Credit card payment information
Credit card payment information is collected via our donation page using Transport Layer Security (TLS), a security protocol that provides communications privacy over the Internet. We use a secure process with our payment gateway provider (STRIPE) to store your payment information securely. ELI does not have access to full card details or CVC numbers, this is all handled by our PCI-compliant payment gateway provider.Some of the servers on which ELI information is stored may be located overseas. By providing us with personal information, you consent to ELI transferring information across national borders for processing and storage purposes in accordance with this policy. All such transfers are conducted in compliance with applicable laws. Your rights to access and correct your personal information are not affected by it being stored on servers located in other countries.
Sharing your information
We do not, and we will never, sell, or rent your personal information to any entity. We will not share your data with another organisation or individual unless we have declared this in advance or have sought your permission.
